I'm Kristy Romeo, and this is my art site, Shady Rainbow.
I'm a compiler. I love snippets, layers and patterns, and I'm crazy about color. I love vintage typography and ephemery, but for good measure, a decent portion of my brain is still completely devoted to the Trapper Keeper aesthetic of my 1980s childhood. Rainbows, hearts, stars and puffy stickers. I work in paper scraps, pencil, ink, pastels, watercolors, upcycled materials, and digital media. I have a husband and two kids, and we all have creative pursuits... everything from music to Legos to film making. We live and work in a colorful house where people are always making something -- often on top of someone's else's unfinished work -- and it makes me happy.
